What is the Leader’s Guide?
The Leader’s Guide is filled with resources, tools and activities to promote healthy eating and physical activity to kids ages 9-12. The Leader’s Guide content is based on material from Kidnetic.com, a healthy eating and active living Web site for kids ages 9-12 and their parents. The content is designed to be used in community settings and does not require Internet access.

Who should use the Leader’s Guide?
Health professionals, health educators, public health professionals, and community youth service providers—anyone who works with kids ages 9-12.

Where can I use Leader’s Guide?
After-school settings, in the classroom, outpatient clinic settings, and health departments—anywhere you can find kids ages 9-12.

What’s in the Leader’s Guide?
A general information section lists Web sites with useful, credible information on childhood overweight, nutrition and physical activity. An evaluation section will help you conduct pre-and post-tests for your intervention. An activity section contains 13 complete, ready-to-use activity modules that include the following:
