Coordinator, Research and Nutrition
Marisa Paipongna is the Research and Nutrition Coordinator at the International Food Information Council (IFIC) where she supports the planning, implementation and evaluation of IFIC’s research and nutrition projects. She also creates various forms of written and visual content for the nutrition team, assists with data presentation, and reviews and analyzes research findings.
Marisa graduated from the College of William & Mary with a B.S. in Kinesiology with a Concentration in Public Health and a Minor in Sociology. Prior to joining IFIC in 2021, Marisa worked as a Project Associate at the Afterschool Alliance where she supported projects focused on afterschool and summer meals access, physical activity promotion and substance use prevention in afterschool and summer learning spaces. She also coordinated their national service program. Marisa has previously interned at the USDA Rural Development California State Office in Davis, CA and at the School Health Initiative Program at Williamsburg-James City County Schools in Williamsburg, VA.
Outside of work, you can find Marisa nurturing her ever-growing collection of plants, trying new foods and being inspired by interior design.
