Silvia Dumitrescu
Senior Vice President, Member Engagement & Operations
Silvia Dumitrescu is the Senior Vice President, Member Engagement & Operations for the International Food Information Council (IFIC), working with subject-matter experts to raise awareness and improve understanding of food science from farm to fork. She leads external engagement with partners and stakeholders and leverages her previous work in technology and innovation to develop growth strategies and drive mission-driven programming.
Before joining IFIC, Silvia held several leadership roles in both the public and private sectors focusing on strategy, communications and operations. Notably, she was a global strategy advisor for an economic development start-up think tank where she cultivated lucrative partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and some of the most well-known NGOs worldwide. Also, Silvia was part of the executive team at one of the leading commercial real estate associations and contributed to launching a successful business attraction program by the Office of the Mayor of the District of Columbia.
Silvia holds an MBA from the Kogod School of Business and executive certificates from Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School and Columbia Business School. She is an active business mentor for Girls with Impact, serves on the advisory boards of Work Design Magazine and Washington Network Group, and is a member of the exclusive executive leadership group Chief.
