Will Whitman

Director, Member Engagement

William Whitman is the Director, Membership Engagement at the International Food Information Council (IFIC). Will oversees the programs and services provided to members and ensures that each member’s experience is valuable, regardless of their place within the global food system. Will works every day to keep open lines of communication with members and to assist IFIC with understanding member perspectives as they relate to the most important health, nutrition and food safety topics of the moment.

Will joined IFIC in 2020 after 15 years directing membership, communications and training programs at 501(c)(3) organizations in the Washington, DC area. He brings to IFIC extensive experience creating and delivering a diverse range of member services, along with his knowledge of best practices within membership organizations. Will is committed to helping nonprofits achieve their missions and is proud to be supporting the important work of IFIC.

Will holds a BA in English from Hamilton College and became a Certified Association Executive in 2016. When Will and his wife Reena are not traveling or hiking, you can find them attempting new recipes and binge-watching British mysteries at their home in downtown Washington, DC.
